My name is Lorrie (Hogan) Snow.
I am 42 years old, married with three beautiful children.
At the age of 36, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer while going through a divorce. My world was turned upside down. I completed 4 rounds of chemo, a double mastectomy and reconstruction in one surgery. To say that year was challenging would be an understatement.
With the love and support from my family and friends I managed to get through it and met a wonderful man named Terry who saved me – who is now my husband. 🙂
Terry and I met just after my surgery. My hair was just growing back and he saw beneath the hair and breasts and it felt amazing. He captured my heart and soul at an instant. He always said that I saved him, but in actual fact he saved me.
Life was nothing short of a miracle and a blessing for us. Our life was perfect, until that nasty door of cancer reopened again this year in March of 2018. 6 years! 6 years... supposing cancer free. My heart was shattered. The cancer was “hiding” for all this time. Just waiting to return... and so it began again.
This time the fight is harder. This time I’m going to make sure that it stays away. The door may be open to this ugly disease right now but I plan on shutting that door for good this time. I have had 5 rounds of radiation , and currently 4 chemo. The chemo has to continue indefinitely here.
So I have decided to go to Mexico in September for immunotherapy and alternate treatments. I am positive that by traveling to Mexico it will give me back my life, a life without cancer.
And so the fight has started....
Love, Lorrie ❤️
